Today 3D #PillowLava for #VolcanoThursday. Such #lava forms during underwater #eruption's & is often #basaltic. Cold #water causes formation of a skin. Following lava inflates the body until the skin ruptures & forms new pillow's.

After we visited the saline we went to the #beach. Since #LaPalma is a #volcanic island the beach is black-made of what #erosion made of #basaltic #rocks.
I decided not to go swimming during this #hedgewatch..., because I think the water is too cold...

It is a young #basaltic #shale that has been cut incorrectly. It is not suitable for heavy loads, and now cars drive here. This beauty cost close to 30 million euros. The old solid #basalt pavers that had lasted for hundreds of years were destroyed and replaced with these.
