A $50 bandsaw is never a $50 dollar bandsaw. Oh sure, you may have paid $50 for it (proudly telling your wife the same), but now it needs new tires, and a stand, and oh look, it's set up for metal, and missing the wood drive wheel...
It's in real good shape otherwise!

So, ein weiteres Langzeitprojekt findet langsam sein Ende.

Eine Horizontalbandsäge zum Aufschneiden von Baumstämmen für meine Drechselarbeiten.

Angetrieben von einem 3 PS Motor, mit drei Fensterhebermotoren zur Höhenverstellung des Bandes.

An der Bandführung werde ich noch etwas arbeiten müssen und die Zuleitung wird noch durch ein Anschlusskabel mit 2,5 mm2 ersetzt.

Danach lackieren und der erste Probelauf kann starten.

🪵 Made a tiny 3D wombat from scrap timber using my bandsaw!

Couldn’t find a template, so I made my own. Asked ChatGPT for front and side views of a wombat, resized them in Affinity Photo to about 2 cm x 3 cm, then printed and glued to the wood.

Cut one side with a 3 mm blade, taped it back together, cut the other, then shaped and sanded it with a Dremel.

Pretty happy with how it turned out! 🐾
