I appreciate that #ArrowheadStudios generally adheres to its rules around the in-universe aesthetics of #Helldivers2.

Like yeah, crossovers with Halo and Killzone walk the line, but the motifs of those games fit in HD. It's not like they added Cardi B or Beavis & Butthead skins.

I like #Destiny2's halloween event (Haunted Alters is fun this year), and I'm excited about #Borderlands4's event which should drop today.

But I'm glad Helldivers doesn't have a Halloween event, and I don't want one.

Helldivers 2 players, mid-October marks the start of major fixes!

Expect crash and audio bug resolves, minor performance boosts, and a big balance pass heading your way. Plus, Warbond content drops continue without delay.

I’m watching an essay breaking down #Helldivers2 from a live service and monetization standpoint and starting to wonder how long its currently formula will work.

#ArrowheadStudios has said they’re shooting for around one warbond per month. That’s 12 new sets of weapons, armor, and cosmetics. Is that a realistic pace? Will these weapons just start feeling same-y (some argue they already are)? Yeah you can earn currency in-game, but at face value that’s ~ $120/year game.

Player base tanking in 3... 2... 1...

It's fine. Even though the player base is one of the least toxic that I encountered in years, and it is a pity to abandon one of the best games and bang for the buck, putting this game away at its peak before getting stale may be for the best then.

Besides, more and more clueless players are not utilizing the full grinding potential of the maps, extracting way too early and letting those sweet ingame currency pass by.
