#Trump starts an unnecessary war at the behest of Israel and the US Israeli lobby that he now doesn’t seem to know how to win or end. So he totally tires of the #IranWar and appears now obsessed with his #ballroom, #VoterSupression and the continuing campaign of vengeance against his perceived enemies. After telling us that taxpayers wouldn’t pay a dime for his ornate, gilded ballroom, he now asks for a billion dollars to fund the project. Uh-huh. The #Republicans war has already cost 14 American lives, hundreds of injured and cost us $25 billion. Not to mention our depleted arsenal. There’s no end in sight - so more of our resources and our $$ down the drain. This at a time when the average American is suffering a severe #affordability crisis and the #TrumpRegime is cutting funding for basic services and our safety net. This is crazy stuff. What’s worse is our descent into #billionaire designed & funded #fascism. At the end of the day, #RepublicansDidThis to us. Remember in November! #USPol #USPolitics

The problem with picking your voters is that, as #housing #affordability decreases, they become more mobile.

As cost of living increases, they delay #family formation and births decline.

Drawing arbitrary lines disconnected from demographic shifts, housing realities, and #economic potential is a fraught exercise.

I’m just saying.

I'm in the middle of a process to insert a plug for a removed back molar, the first step of which cost me $2,400 out of pocket. The oral surgeon's office just called me to say that my insurance covered more than they originally said, so I'm getting a $450 credit back.
Imma go treat myself by buying a big bag of apples, only the Organic kind this time!
Not sure about eggs, or gasoline. I mean, let's not go crazy, amirite?

How Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos helped turn the Met Gala into a caricature of itself

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos are honorary co-chairs and lead sponsors of this year’s Met Gala, dropping a reported $10 million on the event — and incurring even more criticism for the gala for being so out of touch.

Canada should hedge against a volatile U.S. — but the comforting story (Canada as victim of America’s chaos) can become an excuse.

Diversification matters. Detachment is costly and slow. The binding constraints are domestic: productivity, housing-led growth, under-building, and institutions optimized for stability over transformation.
