My youngest and I were in southern Wisconsin this afternoon. As we were not too far from Williams Bay we decided to stop and see the Yerkes Observatory. Built in 1895, it's an amazing structure and, cast in the warm winter light, it was wonderful to see.

L’attivazione (#arousal) è sempre negativa? No! La famosa legge di #Yerkes-Dodson spiega come una certa quota di stress sia necessaria per ottenere una performance soddisfacente: una corretta “dose di #ansia " permette ottimi livelli di #lucidità, #concentrazione, #determinazione e mordente.
Quando però la quantità di attivazione diventa troppo elevata allora la #prestazione subisce un brusco calo e alimenta il circolo vizioso ansia - scarsi risultati - #insoddisfazione - ansia.
