@adriabailton Good afternoon from Aotearoa New Zealand!

I'm Deb E Howell, very slow writer of Romantic Fantasy novels around motherhood, work, and occasional crippling self doubt.

I'm doing quite well today. About as ready for Xmas as I can be. Honestly? I'm just pleased it's stopped raining, even if just for an afternoon.

I'm looking at #twitter and packing my virtual bags before the whole thing goes up in flames.

In other news, I've had interest from film/TV for my books; a 3 book deal with Storm Publishing; 3 books with Fledgling Press still being stocked by Waterstones/Foyles/Blackwells/Toppings and the Indies; 2 books needing a re-write and submitted and for the life of me I can't attract an agent.

I'm beginning to think I don't need one. What do you say, #writersofmasterdon?

Yes, a literary agent is essential

Today I'll be mostly woke and a citizen of nowhere; a man without a king and a book to write. Enjoy frīġedæġ and spin those clouds #writersofmasterdon

Hi #writersofmasterdon this may be of interest. I asked AI to create a picture of the Private Investigator I'm writing based on my description and set in Glasgow. Not a bad first attempt.

Almost 12k into the second book in a series with no bites on the first. That's optimism 4U

Just over 86k and now into the line edit of my #WIP.

@HeartofArgyll Interesting, I've already set a story in Borrowdale with my main male character building a Herdwick flock back in 1860s. Perhaps I should do a short story around Scottish Herdwick crosses? I don't do romance usually, but this could be it! What are the fleeces used for please?

feeling good, my research is showing women led the thrust of immigration to the Orkneys. ‘The Farmer Needs a Wife?’. It’s hard to know what happened in the cold mists of the Bronze Age. I write fiction so I’ve concentrated on evoking that past as it might have been, using historical facts and intuition to help bring my world alive. Changes in DNA, culture, and language happened and were absorbed into the culture – life was fluid #writersofmasterdon #amwriting #bronzeage #historicalfiction
Still waiting for my first postcard to arrive from somewhere in the world. I recently came across Postcrossing ( who knew that was a thing?) and as I like people and other cultures, plus I'm a nosy writer I had to have a go.....it's so annoying we're having a postal strike here in UK. Bah Humbug.
