Usually peopel are supposed to do that.
But corporates and even startups still burn money for new PC and Licenses💀
And still some of those companies might be firing employees in the name of refactoring.
Personally I suggest my friends to try Linux at their own pace.
Just in case someone here or someone you know still has to use windows 10 in EU (not sure if this works outside of EU) but the PC never got the "enroll" button for Extended Security Updates to show up, this video really helped me (small changes in the windows registry that are simple enough to follow):
