In the end, no, your #closetserver or #VPS is not enough. Your #managedhosting solution is not enough. The world 🌍 runs on #cloud infra and that's not what's bad.
What's bad is how it's been implemented, how it's a threat to #privacy, how it's a threat to #DigitalSovreignty, as well as #wellfare AND #freemarket - at the same time!
So what do you do? Throw the baby out with the bathwater, or do you question the actual hardware infra, as well as the legal industrial precedents set?
In all likelihood #Norway will become even more #westernized as the #nuclearfamily kills the #traditionalfamily, challenging and even deposing political mainstays as #wellfare and #solidarity.
We might even see the #denationalization of #naturalresources, which has given #Norwegian people economic stability and decentralization.
Then we could finally compete with #Sweden who has been the king of #liberalization in the north. They are also the crime and poverty leaders of the north.
I had a big surprise today. The UWV (the government organization responsible for my welfare/sickness check) had invited me for a check up/in.
They sprung on me that the insurance physician would like to see me as well (I'm getting benefits due to Long Covid).
Which is scary because he/she can decide to declare I'm fit for work again and of to the dole and temporary shit jobs I go.
But after talking for 45 min's with one their assistants, she proposed a break. (I was getting very tired) Made a call with the doctor and told me afterwards, the doctor wouldn't see me, it was obvious I wasn't fit for work. And for the coming year I would stay on sick leave unless something changed.
Which is a relief. There are many stories about Long Covid patients getting shafted by the UWV and their insurance physicians. The way I was treated should be normal but I feel lucky.
Afterwards I almost killed myself driving through rush hour traffic exhausted. So, I'm done for today.
