#fensterfreitag. This is the Hoftoren in The Hague again, the same as in the previous photo, but now it is a reflection in the canal in front of it. The pattern is the same, the wind just gives it a swing, but the colours are completely different because of the sunlight. The colours in the water are sometimes purple, sometimes silver and green, sometimes yellow. Never the same.

In this tiny little dirty puddle you can see the point of the Hoftoren mirrored, a tall office building in The Hague that is nicknamed the fountain pen, precisely because of its special point. I am standing quite a distance away, almost a whole street away. And then you suddenly see it there, just like that in a puddle. When I crouched down in front of such a puddle to take the photo, people sometimes asked me worriedly if I had become unwell. For #WaterfallWednesday, I wanted to show you #Magdeburg's own "Cracau waterfall" (yes, this is the official name with #Cracau being the name of the district 😄), which, of course, is not a real waterfall, but a small #weir on a cut-off meander of the #Elbe river that controls the water level of the regular Elbe.
As you can see, with the ongoing #drought, only a pitiful amount of water trickles through the small sluice in the middle. 😞 Photo was taken on Sunday
