By train on the uppermost section of the #Vinschgau #Venosta 🇮🇹 railway, from Schluderns to Mals today. The line is about to be electrified: the catenary supports are already in place. The diesel railcars, which are currently operating here, will be replaced by electrical units.

In #Vinschgau #Venosta 🇮🇹 for a few days. Impressions from a “Waalweg” hike today, along traditional water supply channels, essential for the cultivation of fruit trees in the area.
There is, coincidentally 🤓, a railway line nearby, the Vinschgerbahn, providing hourly services.

Today we're travelling to a different region that has inspired us enormously. Some time ago, we spent two freezing cold but wonderful weeks in South Tyrol. There was little snow, the air was freezing cold and the sun was shining brightly, and of course we explored the magnificent landscape and architecture extensively with our cameras.
