Basically, why should we risk losing those seats to a MAGA candidate when they're pretty secure right now?
That's why I think the #Democratic #VPPick should be someone from within the administration: that person should be #PeteButtigieg. He won't be abandoning a post that could be picked up by a MAGA nut. Besides that, he's the best cheerleader the Democratic party has. And after being second in line to the presidency and tie-breaking vote in the Senate, that's the VP's main job.

Something that has been bugging me lately is the certainty that many pundits have that Harris will be choosing between a number of swing-state governors to be her vice president. Maybe, under normal circumstances that would work. Like, that was great thinking for both parties towards elections prior to 2016. But we're currently dealing with a cult of personality. Specifically, #Trumpers.
