Looking forward to #Kubuntu #2604! Also, whatever happened to #UbuntuCoreDesktop that seemed very cool, too bad it has disappeared.

Now it is done: At #OpenPrinting we have now full #RISCV support by our 6 Snaps in the Snap Store:
https://snapcraft.io/publisher/openprinting
- CUPS: Full printing stack
- ipp-usb: IPP-over-USB daemon for driverless USB printing
- 4 Printer Applications: All printer drivers which typically come with Linux distros, ~10000 legacy printers supported
These Snaps can be used on the the #DeepComputing Risc-V board for @frameworkcomputer laptops, also with #Ubuntu Core and #UbuntuCoreDesktop.

Good News!! My talk
Snap and Ubuntu Core Desktop - Desktop Linux, as easy as a smartphone!
got accepted on #GUADEC #GUADEC2024 in Denver!
So the snappy side of the #immutable distros is represented!
@nuccitheboss @kenvandine Great Q&A session!
I watched the live stream of @kenvandine 's Q&A session, was great, that he left near 30 min for Q&A.
When I gave this talk on #FOSDEM #FOSDEM2024 I got only a 25-min slot and they showed me the "still XX min" cards too late so that I did not have time for Q&A, only a hallway session afterwards.
On #GUADEC #GUADEC2024, if they accept my #UbuntuCoreDesktop talk, I will get a 40 min slot and I will give the same 25-min talk as I did on FOSDEM ...
Ubuntu Core Desktop Delayed, Won’t Be Released in April
Ubuntu Core Desktop will not be released alongside Ubuntu 24.04 LTS in April, as originally hoped. For those thinking “wait, what?!” — last year Canonical announced it was building an all-snap, immutable version of Ubuntu for home users called Ubuntu Core Desktop. Further, it was aiming to make the first version available to download in April of this year, alongside the regular Ubuntu 24.04 LTS release. It wasn’t going to be default, more of a formal, public preview release. But those plans have changed: [Ubuntu Core Desktop] won’t be released by 24.04, and unfortunately, I can’t provide a date until
