Need to start working on my #GUADEC talk. So what are you all using for presentations these days?

#LibreOffice Impress doesn't feel right, and WYSIWYG editors easily become too messy for me.

Leaning towards #LaTeX beamer, which I have used for conference talks in the past. But I'm not sure if it's the best tool for the job. Also, would love to be able to embed video but not a hard demand.

Anyone got recommendations? Is Typst nice to use? Or just good old LaTeX?

Btw my GUADEC 2026 talk has been accepted! It's titled "Performance profiling Mutter, GNOME Shell & apps with Tracy". I'll show you (the developers) how to use Tracy [1] for diagnosing performance problems in your GNOME apps and system components, along with examples from the work I did for the GNOME STF.

Now let's hope I get the Spanish visa and can come in-person
