I greatly appreciate this image in the official documentation for handling gender on #translatewiki. https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Gender#Gender_in_languages
Who needs AI when you can make the same weird mistakes Grammarly makes without an LLM at all! #translatewiki
Doing #tokipona localization work on #translatewiki, and every time I write something like "{{GENDER:$1|ona}}" it feels like it's just a flex on all those silly gendered languages.
#TranslateWiki is the easiest tool that I've been using for translations. Simple and clean. Helped me a lot to onboard the translations field of open source.

Took a small step today.

Ever since switching to Ubuntu, I’ve grown more curious about the FOSS world but honestly, I didn’t know how to contribute at first.

That led me to Translatewiki. I’ve just signed up and made my first small contributions. It’s a tiny start, but being part of something bigger feels exciting.

If you have any kind of suggestion for further contributions, more than welcome!

Continuing #LuaModules: recently I rewrote templates on #translatewiki that show messages in message documentation: https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Module:Msg

Compared to wikitext version, Lua module does not break lists for multiline messages (important for accessibility), and handles errors and different states better. Also, Lua is just much easier tor read than this: https://translatewiki.net/?diff=12692255

Just released a new user script for easier maintenance of @mediawiki (#MediaWiki) interface messages. It links to #translatewiki translations for easier fixing and adds helpful popups with links in uselang=qqx mode. Helpful for both translators and non-translators alike. #MWScripts

I finally wrote on Phabricator that #translatewiki custom main page should use the user/default skin instead of overwriting entire page HTML. Please (dis)agree with this by throwing a 👍 / 👎 token, especially if you use the website!

Nice #translatewiki.net meetup at #Wikimania. Some of us met for the first time despite translating together for over a decade. We also got half a dozen new translators for #Unicode #CLDR.
