Two individuals charged in connection with the TfL cyber incident have pleaded not guilty, as the NCA, international partners, and U.S. authorities continue a broader investigation into related intrusions.

The case highlights an increase in English-speaking cybercrime groups and the growing complexity of cross-border digital investigations.

#Transport for #London Have Your Say:
#TfL is consulting on proposals for transport and highway changes to support the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street West, between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street. The plan follows earlier public feedback and aims to create a cleaner, safer and more accessible destination. The consultation outlines adjustments to bus routes and stops, taxi and private hire access, cycling alternatives, delivery arrangements, and north–south traffic movement. It also sets out expected impacts on journey times, traffic flows, accessibility and the environment. Engagement with businesses, emergency services, residents and accessibility groups has informed the proposals. TfL invites comments and suggestions before the consultation closes on 16 January 2026.

#Transport for #London Freedom of Information release:
#TfL has provided guidance on bus drivers and wheelchair access. All London #buses are low-floor with a dedicated wheelchair space and access ramp, which must be made available even if occupied by buggies. Drivers follow procedures in the Big Red Book and receive Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training from EW Group, including filmed scenarios and legal obligations under the Equality Act. The training aims to improve accessibility awareness and customer experience. TfL does not hold data on disciplinary action against drivers, as buses are operated by private companies.

#Transport for #London Freedom of Information release:
#TfL has responded to a request for interior plans of its buses, made by a transport researcher studying wheelchair and buggy bay variations. While TfL holds general arrangement drawings for most current Wrightbus, BYD, and MCV-Volvo models, these documents are controlled by the manufacturers and marked confidential. As such, the information is exempt from disclosure under section 41 of the FOI Act, which protects information provided in confidence. Floor plans for the New Routemaster remain the only model previously released.

#Transport for #London Freedom of Information release:
#TfL responded to an FOI request about Bus Route 18, confirming it had considered but ruled out making it a Superloop or express service due to heavy intermediate demand and limited bus priority. Between January and September 2025, the route recorded 8,232,460 journeys using Oyster or Contactless. Details of the busiest sections are available in the BUSTO dataset, which provides peak load figures by stop and time. Data on curtailed trips for both directions over the same period was supplied in spreadsheets, showing where services ended short of Sudbury or Euston. TfL also reported three customer commendations during this period, all praising bus drivers.

Thamesmead bus lane, walking and cycling proposals. #TfL is consulting on changes to roads between #Woolwich and Abbey Wood via #Thamesmead to improve bus journeys, cycling routes and pedestrian safety. Plans include new 24/7 bus lanes, upgraded bus stops, segregated cycle lanes, pedestrian crossings, and junction alterations at Plumstead Road, Western Way, Central Way and Carlyle Road. Speed limits would be reduced and roundabouts downsized to enhance safety. The proposals aim to support new SL11 bus services, encourage active travel, and complement future DLR and cycle network expansions. Consultation closes 15 January 2026.
