I'm laughing so hard at what my Mom just said to me, while asking her if she's still up for sharing her lived experiences from just after we fled Saigon, to two refugee camps, to being sponsored by a Canadian group of church folks to adjusting to life in Canada, in first few years.

Mom said: I remember that you pooped a lot....a lot more than your little brothers. Your Dad called you a toddler shit factory. We'd be rich, if we could have sold your Saigon baby Buddha poop.
What?!? 🤣😂😅 My parents actually discussed this, in depth, before fleeing Saigon.

I'm so happy to have met #Vietnamese folks at work party today! Mom is very happy too because she didn't expect to be connected to new friends today - upon picking me up, after the work party. We gave Julie & her daughter a ride to Tillicum Mall - they live only a few blocks away from there. Julie & my Mom chattered away in Vietnamese, for the whole drive over 💗 Julie only came over from Vietnam, less than 2 months ago. My Mom is one of the first new friends she has met. I love it ❤️

I'm already planning crabbing & shrimping adventures with Phanh & Julie & her daughter 😃 They're all so excited & so are we!

Hi there, I am looking to follow personal #blogs written by #SouthEastAsians, other #Asians, #Africans. Basically not Western. Nothing wrong with the West just that I have a huge RSS feed full of US, UK blogs. I want to diversify my feed.
Apparently, Malaysians like to #blog about 3 things: Food, politics & money 😂
I prefer genuinely personal blogs that are slice of life stuff. If you know of any please recommend to me! 🙏
