An enumerator visited my home yesterday for the #caste census, which apparently precedes the Census of India 2027. He noted responses in a mobile phone and a notebook. I replied "casteless." He said that option didn't exist. I said it is what it is. He gave up and asked me several details including my name, phone number, and whether I own an LPG connection, a computer, a TV, or an automobile.
I was told by others that he listed me in the General Caste category.

Tathagata Buddha songs, which this paper studies, has been specifically enabling for Dalit women as it gives them not only a sense of religiosity but it also opens them to the possibility of rationalizing their beliefs and practices. The paper will bring up an ethnographic account of some of these Dalit women singers and look into some of their composition and songs that have a specific invocation to Gautam Buddha and of political icons like Babasaheb Ambedkar, whom they revere.
I wonder what's the difference between the white man thinking that he can bomb civilizations to subjugation, because they are less of a human, and we Indians segregating people by caste, class and religion?
He has the means to kill, subjugate, and get away. Castes, class & religious groups here don't have that capability right now.
