@vantablack I'm not eben shure anyone made a 100% (122+ key) kexboard that were made smaller than full-size keycaps.

Personally, I had good results with those cheap 7-10" tablet cases with keyboards that habe microUSB-OTG plugs.

KeebDeck

The KeebDeck Keyboard is a compact (85x48mm) 69-key alphanumeric silicone keypad with an orthogonal layout based on standard PC keyboards. It has all the keys a hacker would expect and a few extra ones that can be used as macros. The keypad sits on a snap dome sheet, giving it a tactile feel that's comfortable even for extended thumb-typing sessions. The keypad can also optionally be backlit, perfect for dimly lit rooms.

Solder Party

Solder Party’s KeebDeck is a cheap, open source 69-key thumb keyboard

A few years ago Solder Party started selling tiny USB keyboards made by combining an actual BlackBerry keyboard (ripped from an old device) with a custom PCB and USB-C connector. But since BlackBerry is out of business, eventually it’s going to get harder to find devices to cannibalize for their keyboards.

So Solder Party has now introduced two brand new products. The KeebDeck Keyboard is a […]

Is anybody going to #OpenHardware Summit in Edinburgh to run a table, who would agree to take #LILKA with them and give it some exposure? Info here: https://autkin.net/lilka/

@deshipu ? #SolderParty ?

Lilka

Lilka is an open hardware DIY console created in Ukraine. It can be assembled from inexpensive electronic modules you can buy. It is aimed at learning. Once you assemble it, you have a simple, yet powerful device with a lot of possibilities: Run Nintendo (NES) games in emulation Run DOOM WiFi and Bluetooth GPIO extension to connect more hardware Lua programming Running programs from MicroSD card Again, note that this is not a consumer-grade game console. It’s a do-it-yourself kit, which is quite simple to assemble even for the newbies (soldering required). Its goal is to give you cheap hardware to tinker with, and a ready base system firmware (FreeRTOS based) for display, buttons, sound, battery and other components. Of course you can play games on it! But gaming is not the main purpose of it.

Don’t look too closely at my solder joints! #SolderParty #electronics
Soldered up the #SolderParty Flexypins adapter. Seems to hold the Xaio board in place nicely, the header pins need redoing, to allow wires to be socketed onto them.
Might have spotted a first prototype of the #WHY2025 badge, with a #SolderParty keyboard prototype and an early #RP2350 B on it at #MakerFaireHannover
Supercool to hang with @arturo182 for a little while at #FOSDEM .. chatting about exciting and excellent upcoming #Solderparty projects!

I have this lovely #Keyboard #Featherwing from (before there was) #solderparty and its previously worked but now, well now, it feels like the display backlight has just died and not sure what to do about it? Replace LCD? It doesn’t seem to pass tests (says SDA on I2C is busy) This is with a #UnexpecteMaker FeatherS2 - am I missing something obvious?
