John LeachI made damson gin in 2023 and kind of forgot about it. I strained out the fruit after several months, but it sat in the jars until today.

Final strain today and bottled. 2.7 litres! It's really good ; perhaps a little sweet? I tried two different gins: a good mid-level ALDI gin and a very cheap Tesco gin. The better gin is worth it.
The jars will be straight back into service as we have more damsons and also trying sloe this year.
Cormac's CoastBlackthorn berries (Prunus spinosa) or Sloe berries are fully ripened at the moment and scattered all accross the Burren.
