Chinese Dialects Festival

Last 3 years, we have been holding a festival dedicated to Chinese dialects, where we gather famous speakers of all dialect groups from all over the world. This year will not be an exception! Informative lectures Fascinating interviews Useful master classes Conversations about language, culture, dialectology, history, customs, business and so on. No time constraints on communication! Each speaker will have their own room where they can present their topic and interact with participants. The festival will be attended by scientists, foreign researchers and speakers of dialects from all over the world!

While doing #fieldwork in #Nanning, I learnt that the Winter #Solstice is indeed a major festivity for the Cantonese people there. But for the #Pinghua people there, who are also #Sinitic, it is just a 'meh' festival.
