Time Line (approx):
Apr 02 HDHomeRun app on Roku is updated.
Apr 06: First "Can't change Channel on Roku" is posted on the SD forum
Apr 07: Wife complains about Roku problem
Apr 08: After 2 hours of debugging, find the April 06 article. Aha!
Apr 08: SD announces update being built
Apr 09: SD send update to Roku for review
[sound of crickets chirping]
Apr 13: Ask SD for update
Apr 14: SD says maybe tomorro

Ah, the joys of #cablecutting My wife complained that the #silicondust #hdhomerun tuner would not change channels. Cue the house #sysadmin. After an hour uninstall/reinstall, power off/power on, seeing if the tuner worked on my android app, and checking to see if worked on my apple app, I logged on the SiliconDust forum. Turns out a bad update to the app was sent to #roku users on April 7th. An update has been submitted, but Roku has not released it.

I wonder if #SiliconDust plans on selling the watch data that the get.

W/ their new ATSC 3.0 tuner (Flex 4k), their app sends AC-4 audio data to their cloud for decoding. Easy way to extract what people are watching from the audio data.

Daily PowerShell! More SilconDust network tuner action! There's an API that I am referencing (https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/http_api).

$hdHomeRunTunerIp = "10.10.10.235"
$lineup = Invoke-RestMethod -Uri "http://$($hdHomeRunTunerIp)/lineup.json"

This code loads the json lineup into the $lineup array so you can iterate through to find channels you want to look for. You could use this to feed into my scripts over the past couple days for selecting the channel to watch.
