I think its easy to miss the second condition in Jane McGonigal's definition of wholeheartedly. Self Motivated seems obvious, but what about self directed? If your staff keeps calling you asking for permission and you think, "Why don't you just do it?", you might have some work to do bolstering their self-direction.
