Tonight I just got given a Good Service award for my voluntary work as a Scouter with #ScoutsCanada, and I feel surprisingly emotional about it.

Saying "thank you" to #volunteers is simple to do, always underrated and very important.

As an immigrant joining a community, who soon say "we thank you for your service" - this has a greater poignancy. And that's why I'm feeling emotional. Thank you Nova Scotians for making me welcome.

Our 11yo had a positive experience with #wintercamping for the first time. Thanks to this community for the tips. It was a “feels like -7c” weekend in our part of #ontario and they woke up to a good coat of snow this morning. Also, #scoutscanada leaders are saints.
