This week i brought my dad and my son to #outport #newfoundland to open the summer home and visit with family. Dad and his siblings are slowing down, and these visits are a little heavier and more meaningful. It’s a special place, and they love hearing about our adventures here that they can no longer join us for. Yesterday my son got a close look at #dolpins in the wild. “I can see their faces!”

Today I struggled to remember the first name of a person I see fairly regularly. Then on the drive home, Ice, Ice, Baby was playing on the radio, and it turns out I still know most of the lyrics. So that's how my 40s are going.

Cold is relative - especially across #Canada. I'm an indoor human in #winter, but today the sun came out, and it felt good to layer up and meet a friend in the world for coffee.
