A reminder for #OpenAccessWeek that open science and open access has an important role to play in helping academics in wars, crises and emergencies of all kinds to stay connected. The physical university may be destroyed, the scholar a refugee, but as long as they have internet access they can still analyse research data, take part in virtual seminars, and publish their research.
