Riverhead / East End NO KINGS · Mobilize
**We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.** This is Riverhead's third No Kings, assembling the East End's largest protests, the first at the Suffolk County Supreme Court and the second on Route 58. We will return to the Court for a rally at 1:30 p.m. Feeder marches begin at 12:00 noon and 12:30, passing by Town Hall to demand our local government control ICE. An inspiring signed vigil will reach out to drivers on Route 58 near Harrison Avenue beginning at 12 noon, then join students from Riverhead High School at 12:30 to march to Town Hall. A second feeder march from downtown is planned. Participants from earlier No Kings events on the East End are invited to join individually or by caravan in a collaborative non-partisan East End rally at the historic Court House. (https://downtownriverhead.org/stop-35) Organizations and individuals wanting to cosponsor the event and join with a broadly based planning committee should contact riverheadnokings@gmail.com Cosponsors and Endorsers (list in formation) : Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Greenport Indivisible North Fork ACLU of Suffolk County Unitarian Universalists of Southold *************** What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*
