**81 years ago, thousands gave everything on the beaches of Normandy to crush fascism. Over the weekend of June 6th, the Visibility Brigade is bringing that same spirit of resistance to 1,000 overpasses across America—including right here in Forest Hills.** **We will draw a hard line against the current fascist regime, their enablers, and the unbridled billionaire greed funding them. The message to our commuting neighbors is simple: Resist tyranny. Workers over billionaires. Tax the ultra-rich.**

Care Over Cuts: Fund Healthcare Not Hate! Protect Medicaid, Medicare, and Healthcare Jobs! · Mobilize

Health is not partisan - it's primary for each of us. Washington politicians slashed $1 trillion from our healthcare safety net, and they intentionally delayed the pain until after the upcoming November elections. They are trying to hide the devastating consequences from voters, so we are mobilizing on June 5 to force them to answer for it before we cast our ballots. **We are not fooled and we will not be silent. Join us! We'll meet at the corner of Bridge and Parsons Streets in Northampton and walk on sidewalks to City Hall, where we will hold a rally followed by a brief vigil to memorialize all those who died from lack of access to healthcare.** **If marching is not for you, meet us at City Hall at 8 PM.** Show Up Sing Out! will lead us in songs, and speakers include State Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa, CD01 candidate Jeromie Whelan, Rev. Dr. Matilda Cantwell (UCC Chaplain); Elliot Davey from First Churches will speak on and lead a prayer for the most vulnerable among us; Rev. Dr. Diane Johnson (First Churches, Northampton), Asst Prof . Krystal Kittle (Community Health Education, UMass Amherst), and Emma Kristjanson-Gural (Bay State Throw Trans Kids Under the Bus). Bring signs. Here are a few options or create your own: - Health Cuts Kill -They Cut, We Fight - Healthcare - Life Depends On It - Will You Still Have Healthcare After Midterms? - Healthcare Not Warfare - Save Medicare and Medicaid! Stop the Cuts! - Save Our Hospitals! Stop the Cuts! Co-sponsors: Rise Up Western MA Indivisible, Indivisible Easthampton, River Valley Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution, FemGen Amherst, The Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence Democracy Action Team. Stripping $1 trillion from Medicaid, public health, and rural hospitals is potentially deadly for our most vulnerable friends and neighbors. Researchers estimate these cuts will cause over 51,000 preventable deaths every year. Our local community already has experienced cuts to services for our trans neighbors as well as veterans and their families. When federal health funds disappear, the burden doesn't vanish – it falls on us. Local hospitals will be forced into mass layoffs, and county governments will have to drastically hike local property taxes to pay for uncompensated emergency care. Across the nation, patients, nurses, and advocates are holding town halls, forums, and candlelight vigils as part of the Seven Days in June Campaign (sevendaysinjune.org). **We demand that every representative go on the record right now: will you protect our care, or will you let our local health systems collapse?** A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. We recommend all participants review our safety and security resource before your event: https://indivisi.org/safety.

Stop Forced Charter Co-Locatio...
Stop Forced Charter Co-Location in Florida Public Schools · Mobilize

We, the undersigned parents, educators, students, and community members, call on Florida lawmakers to stop the forced co-location of charter schools inside public school campuses. Across Florida, charter operators are taking over space inside existing public schools — often without meaningful community input or approval from locally elected school boards. Schools are losing classrooms, ESE spaces, career education labs, arts programs, and shared student spaces to charter expansion. These spaces are not “empty.” They serve students every day. Forced co-location: Removes local control from communities and school boards Displaces student programs and support services Diverts public resources to private charter operators Creates safety and operational concerns on shared campuses Destabilizes neighborhood public schools through enrollment and funding losses Public school campuses were built with taxpayer dollars to serve neighborhood students — not private charter expansion. We urge Florida leaders to: Repeal or reform charter co-location laws Restore local control over public school facilities Protect instructional and student support spaces Require transparency and community input before any co-location decisions Florida students deserve strong, stable public schools that remain under the control of the communities they serve. Sign this petition to protect Florida’s public schools and stop forced charter co-location.

Ahead of America’s 250th Anniversary: A Nationwide Mobilization for Truth, Equality & Freedom: A Choice Between Erasure & Equality Fort Myers Visibility Brigade is hosting an "All of U.S. 250" mobilization on Saturday June 27th, from 10am - 12pm on the Interstate 75 Estero Parkway Overpass Bridge. PG-13 Signs should be 16-inch letters or bigger for the interstate traffic below; we will attach signs to the fencing with bungee cords & binder clips. 1500 Estero Parkway, Fort Myers, FL. 33913 Park on the East side of the bridge, in the grass, on either side of the road. https://events.pol-rev.com/events/787666e6-592e-43e5-85f9-0cf0131663d2 https://www.facebook.com/events/1255384526665967 https://www.facebook.com/FortMyersVisibilityBrigade https://www.facebook.com/groups/fortmyersvisibilitybrigade [email protected] https://allofus250.org The MAGA regime is in the midst of trying to whitewash our past so they can control our future. Trump wants to keep the promise of America only for wealthy, white men like him by disappearing Black and brown Americans, rolling back our civil rights and freedom to vote, and taking away birthright citizenship. But we can turn the tide. It’s time for all who call this place home to take a stand against the MAGA regime’s attacks on our country’s past, present, and future. While we boycott Trump’s anti-American, whitewashed 250th, we will join together to embrace all of America, all of our history, and commit to the work yet to be done to make this country a place where liberty and equality are for all. This will be the biggest national day of action in the lead up to this historic anniversary for our country and will be a unifying call for all who want America to reckon with and repair our history rather than erase it, celebrate how far we’ve come, make America a place where freedom and equality are for all. A core principle behind all Visibility Brigade, 50501, and All of U.S. events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property. We are heading to Manzanita House to show them some love, support and gratitude. They are WONDERFUL! Every immigrant deserves the opportunity to flourish and uniquely contribute to Eastern Washington’s burgeoning vibrance and diversity. 3:30 - 4:30 we will meet at Manzanita House for a tour and information about their programs. We will also bring them thank you cards, treats and snacks. If you'd like to bring some (non-homemade) snacks that would be great! 4:30 - 5:30 we will rally in support of Immigrants and Refugees. Intersection TBD, will be close by. PLEASE MAKE SURE RALLY SIGNS ARE POSITIVE! This is VERY IMPORTANT! We will not draw ANY NEGATIVE ATTENTION to Manzanita House or our immigrant / refugee friends. Indivisible Falmouth says De-ICE Citizens Bank!! · Mobilize

Join Indivisible Falmouth and thousands of people across the country to send Citizens Bank a clear message: financing private prison and immigration detention facility operators The GEO Group and CoreCivic is bad for business. Please bring signs specific to this action: De-ICE Citizens Bank; Cages Aren't Communities; Citizens Bank - Stop Financing ICE Prisons; Citizens Bank + ICE = Human Rights Abuse; ICE Prisons Don't Strengthen Our Communities; Citizens Bank - Cut Ties With ICE Prisons; etc. Citizens Bank is bankrolling the country’s two largest prison companies that are earning record profits operating dozens of ICE detention facilities. While most major banks have cut ties with CoreCivic and The GEO Group, Citizens Bank is deepening its financial support for these companies, which are already holding more than half of the 70,000 immigrants currently in ICE detention centers across the country. The bank’s capital is supporting a deplorable ICE agenda that aims to fill detention centers with more than 100,000 people by next year. Even as it publicly touts its commitment to “strengthening our communities,” Citizens Bank has played a key role in helping The GEO Group and CoreCivic access more than $2.5 billion in financing, some of it approved earlier this year. This comes as the companies face a mountain of allegations, including forced labor and wrongful deaths due to understaffing and medical neglect at their facilities. We won't quietly stand by as Citizens continues to finance the private prison & ICE detention companies that are harming our communities. The 2019 exodus of banks from the industry in response to activism should be a reminder to us that our voices matter. Now it's time to use them. Visit www.de-icecitizensbank.org for more information and other actions you can take! Remember, we want to be in solidarity with workers including bank branch employees. Treat everyone with respect and do not harass or film employees. A core principle behind all Coalition events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment.
