ICE Watch - Bastrop, Tx (IWBT) · Mobilize

Across the country, the tide is turning as entire communities are stepping up and working together to say ICE Out. This will only continue if we organize — together. We are calling on communities to form ICE Out groups/committees in your neighborhood, or within your existing organizations, and organize collectively to protect our communities. These groups/committees can work together to: * Push for proactive policies that decouple local law enforcement from ICE, such as getting ICE out of jails and ending collaboration with local police and fighting surveillance tools like Flock cameras. * Push for policies that create barriers between ICE and sensitive locations such as churches, schools and daycare centers; * ICE Out Committees can also be formed as line of defense, organizing: * Safety patrols in your neighborhood or at sensitive locations * Constitutional observers * Food delivery to affected immigrant community post-raids. * Any other type of mutual aid or direct support for community members who fear ICE. This work spreads love, strengthens community, and resists the harm and destruction that ICE brings to our neighborhoods. If you are not at risk of deportation, we ask you to take action now. Be present. Be consistent. Build relationships. Show up as allies, witnesses, neighbors, and friends. Stand with immigrant workers peacefully with love and care. Remember: Solo el pueblo salva al pueblo. Only the people save the people.

ICE Out of Home Depot/ICE Out for Good! · Mobilize

Home Depot depends on the labor of immigrant workers, from construction to disaster recovery, profiting from global markets while turning its back on vulnerable communities here at home. This injustice cannot continue. Together, we have the power to demand accountability and justice. Join us as we make it impossible for Home Depot to ignore the voices of the people. We stand united, sending a clear message that our communities deserve protection, respect, and solidarity—not neglect. Here in Lancaster we have been hosting a series of sustained events to continue the pressure on the Home Depot corporation and the wider Lancaster County community. We gather along Fruitville Pike with our signs and our presence demonstrating our support for our immigrant neighbors. We encourage the Home Depot to publicly condemn the ICE raids taking place on or near their properties. We urge our community to condemn the cruel and illegal actions of ICE throughout this country. We come together to be an example for corporations and our local community to ACT, to SPEAK UP, and to take a STAND! -Please plan to arrive any time between 1:45-2:00PM -If you are able, please park elsewhere in the parking lots at the Red Rose Commons shopping center (ex: Verizon, PetSmart, or Weis Market) and walk over to the Barnes & Noble parking lot -Meet in the BARNES & NOBLE parking lot along the edge that runs along Fruitville Pike -We will cross the grass to get to the public sidewalk that runs along Fruitville Pike (in front of the shopping center) -Bring signs and bring friends! Signs should be on message for protecting our immigrant neighbors OR condemning ICE and their cruel and illegal actions and Home Depot's cooperation with ICE. We will have extra signs for you to borrow if you do not want to make your own. Thank you for your support and looking forward to continuing this message and standing in solidarity with you!

Join us to train to be a court observer at Roanoke City General District Court. **Cases are seen on weekdays from 9AM - 4PM, so ideal candidates have recurring availability to be in person at the courthouse during those hours.** ### Why are we doing this? ICE arrests in courthouses are increasing in frequency across Virginia, and we expect this pattern to continue. Groups like ours across the state are organizing to monitor courtrooms and record their observations. Courtroom observation is a completely legal, protected, and longstanding practice. Gathering information is essential for state and national organizations to engage in advocacy on behalf of the clients detained. If agents or others in the courthouse do anything illegal, being present to witness and document what occurs can make the difference between someone being deported and released for unlawful arrest.

National F*ck ICE Protest · Mobilize

On April 11th at High Noon, people across the country will step outside, find the nearest place where ICE is unjustly caging human beings, and make their presence - and their contempt - impossible to ignore. This is not a single march in a single city. This is a simultaneous national action, coast to coast, at concentration camps, detention facilities, processing centers, and county jails where the machinery of this administration's cruelty operates every single day behind walls and fences and the calculated indifference of people who have decided that some human beings don't count. But they do count. We're counting them. And we're showing up. Join Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance (SMIA), 50501 Missouri, and The ReSisters at the Greene County Jail on Saturday, April 11th, at 12pm to demand change and accountability. SMIA will be accepting phone charger donations at the event. Phone chargers will be added to the care packages SMIA provides to people who are released from Greene County Jail.

JFK Students and Allies March to De-ICE Citizens Bank · Mobilize

You may have heard about the inspiring JFK Middle School students that staged a ICE OUT walk-out last month. Now they have joined the campaign to De-ICE Citizens Bank! Join us on Friday, April 17th to march with student activists from JFK to Citizens Bank via the bike path. We'll start at 3:10 at the end of the path, march for an hour to Citizens Bank on King Street, then hold a rally from approximately 4:15 -5:15. The rally will be held on the public sidewalks on King Street Northampton, in front of Stop and Shop Plaza (Citizens Bank has a branch inside Stop and Shop). You can join the students for all or any part of this. March with them for a bit. Join them at 4:15 at the bank. Or do the whole thing! The students will make some brief remarks at the rally, and present the De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition with something to bring to bank headquarters on 4/23 as we protest outside the annual shareholder meeting. Send Citizens Bank a clear message: financing private prison and immigration detention facility operators The GEO Group and CoreCivic is bad for business. Please only bring signs specific to this action: De-ICE Citizens Bank; Cages Aren't Communities; Citizens Bank - Stop Financing ICE Prisons; Citizens Bank + ICE = Human Rights Abuse; ICE Prisons Don't Strengthen Our Communities; Citizens Bank- Cut Ties With ICE Prisons; etc. We'll have some extras too. Notorious private prison companies The GEO Group and CoreCivic are being called on to be part of an unprecedented expansion in capacity as part of the Trump administration's mass detention, deportation, and surveillance policies. To accommodate the planned increase in detention capacity, GEO and CoreCivic must undertake expensive construction and renovation projects. Since 2019, though, most of their lenders have cut ties with the two companies, which have faced allegations from forced labor to securities fraud. Citizens Bank has instead deepened its relationship with the private prison industry, taking on new roles in financing both CoreCivic and GEO, all while continuing to tell their customers that they're focused on strengthening our communities. We won't quietly stand by as Citizens continues to finance the private prison & ICE detention companies that are harming our communities. The 2019 exodus of banks from the industry in response to activism should be a reminder to us that our voices matter. Now it's time to use them. Visit www.de-icecitizensbank.org for more information. Nonviolent Movements Depend on Deescalating Tensions · Mobilize

Experts in movements to overturn authoritarians and dictators teach us that we must be committed to nonviolence to build broad-based participation, maintain moral legitimacy, and strategically undermine the pillars that keep authoritarian systems in place. Let's continue to train and practice these vital skills that we can all use in our personal lives, on the curbs at rallies and when we talk across the political aisle to encourage people to vote for their own best interests in the midterm elections. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Every Saturday Pullman Rally for Sanity #Indivisible #NoKings #HandsOff #MoveOn #50501 · Mobilize

This a local Indivisible event! Hello, people who care about democracy! My name is Syd and I call myself the reluctant activist, because I'd really rather be home resting, crocheting and managing my health issues but instead I'm forced to fight fascism in America. I'll be the one with the walker and the loud voice. 😁 With the rapid assaults on our rights, the government cuts designed to hurt the poor and vulnerable, along with endlessly funding genocide and much more, it would be easy to feel hopeless. I feel it's important that we protest this insanity and remember we have the power. I have a rally every Saturday. We meet from 12-1 on the sidewalk in front of the Neill Public Library. It's at the intersection of N Grand and Olson NE across from the Cougar Plaza. This Big Beautiful Killer Bill is the opposite of what our government should do for the people. Republicans are choosing to let people go hungry, lose insurance and frankly, die. Not to balance the budget, they're doing it to reward the wealthiest. We won't give up our rights to peacefully protest. We need to remind this administration that it's the people who have the power, it's supposed to be Congress that writes laws and declares war, that protest is legal but human trafficking is not. I know these are scary times and I appreciate your bravery. I have rallied here multiple times and usually the most negative thing I have experienced is a few harsh words from a moving vehicle (that I usually can't hear). I simply reply with "I love you!" as loudly as I am able. It's fun and it prevents any hate from sticking to us. Mostly we get a lot of honking and waving. I find it invigorating, especially when we are surrounded by a lot of other rally-goers. If someone does tries to instigate trouble don't confront them and remain peaceful. Come get me. You can leave if you need to. Record video if you are able, so that authorities will be able to ID the agitator. It's also extremely important that our protest remain on the sidewalk and not block the traffic or crosswalks so we don't give the police a reason to arrest anyone. I'm not downplaying the new steps towards full fascism this administration has taken and I don't want you to. Please take the necessary steps to protect yourself. Again, I expect no problem at our little event, I expect colorful, creative signs, some chanting and numbers of like-minded people who care about our country. If you have any streamers or pinwheels to attach to your signs, please do.There's almost always a breeze. Get your feelings out on your signs, enjoy the marker fumes and chalk dust. Bring water. If you have any questions contact me here p.s. Despite what Tr*mp and Fox News say, I have never received a paycheck for rallying against his theft of power, but I have noted his history of projection. Has he paid people to rally for him? A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Join your neighbors and fellow Portlanders for a family-friendly Honk & Wave event. We stand united against the horrific ICE abuses and the murder of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. We reject our bully and corrupt grifter-in-chief, his spineless billionaire capitulators, and his MAGA political cronies. And we are united in opposition to a single man using our military as his own personal army and committing this nation to war, all for his own ego. We’re building a local movement and we need YOU! Let’s make democracy visible, energizing and show it’s worth fighting for. When we show up, we inspire others to do the same, because courage is contagious. 🗽 Bring a sign! 🗽Bring your voice! 🗽Bring your friends, kids, and neighbors! Whether you stay for 15 minutes or the whole time, your presence counts. 🚗 Parking: available along adjacent side streets.
