Do you live in Hillsborough, Broward, Leon, Miami-Dade, Orange, Palm Beach, or Pasco or Pinellas County and are interested in serving as an ACLU of FL legal observer at protests and rallies? Join us to learn how to become a legal observer!
We'll discuss what you need to look out for and how to report your observations. Also, we'll go over important Know Your Rights information for protesting.
Note: Due to legalities, you must be at least 18 years old to participate in our legal observing program.

The ACLU says records reveal undisclosed cooperation with ICE, including requests for personal data like addresses and vehicle registration information. They also accuse the DMV of communicating with ICE via the encrypted messaging app Signal. The ACLU of Nevada is seeking a court order demanding the release of all requested records in compliance with Nevada law.
Worse, since the judge ordered the DMV to turn over more than 100 records in question, the agency has stonewalled the judge. Only a fraction of the records have been shared with the ACLU.
Come and demonstrate outside the Reno DMV to demand answers.
- Why does the NV DMV share *any* information with DHS, outside of obeying a judicial warrant?
- What are the guidelines the agency follows in considering DHS requests for information?
- How does the DMV transmit the information? Does ICE or any DHS agency have direct access to DMV records or information systems?
- Why is Nevada's Attorney General Aaron Ford stonewalling the judge's order in the case rather than complying with it?
Come down ro the DMV in Reno at 10:00 a.m. Saturday Apr. 11 with signs and be prepared to walk a picket line for 90 minutes.
