Feet on the Streets - with a twist - tell Home Depot to get I C E out · Mobilize

*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.* Hi Everyone: You might have all heard about the badass warriors who made a point of all going to Home Depot to purchase an *ice scraper* with a CREDIT CARD if you can ... and then standing back in line 5 minutes later to return it ... (google it - people are so creative) . ***NEW IDEA***. Same thing, but buy a few screws with your credit card (it adds fees for HD) ... then when you return it a few minutes later, tell the employee to SCREW ICE ... make sure they know the reason you are returning !!!! Smile! Well, how about we all just do that at our own leisure? I tried it last week - it was a success, and it made me feel better LOL ... Here is what you can do ... as often as you can manage it ... work it into your routines if you have to! I plan on doing it after my protests - on the way home ! Go to Home Depot ... walk around and "shop" for as long as you want -- I like to go and just PAY ATTENTION -- I now know exactly what they look like from the hotel protests - I hear they like to cosplay as construction workers to fit in! (they still stick out like a sore thumb in my book). Have a WHISTLE ready to warn people if you see anything sus ....... Buy California's version of an "ice scraper " I bought a small putty knife for 98 cents ... ***NEW IDEA ... buy one screw and return them saying SCREW ICE!!!*** PAY by your CREDIT CARD if you can - for extra bonus points (they get charged a fee no matter what is purchased with a credit card -- win win) ... Then, immediately walk right back in the store and go to the Customer Service line to RETURN it ! I told the nice lady (remember it is NOT the employees fault their employers are not-c's ...kindness matters), that I was returning this "ice scraper" in solidarity with my friends in the community - to send a message that we do not welcome thugs into our neighborhoods to terrorize our friends! All with a smile on my face ... she almost cried when she said, I totally understand !! and happily returned my buck back to my credit card ... ANYONE can make this happen -- if you are looking for a way to RESIST with us, but being on a street corner is intimidating (no judgment, we all do what we feel comfy with), well THIS little Good Trouble Causing mission is for you!!! Bonus points if you then post about it on your social media platforms to encourage others to do this simple act! They shut down a Home Depot (upper Cali) when they had 100's of people doing this AT THE SAME TIME ... So, for now, let's just do it on our own ... whenever you can! Signs of Solidarity Training–April 12, NW Denver ICE activity may not be in the news, but recent reports indicate that 15-20 people a day are being detained in Colorado and Wyoming. Signs of Solidarity program volunteers visit small businesses to provide them with practical information about how to prepare for and respond to an ICE raid. In addition to providing businesses with the information they need, Signs of Solidarity helps build community cohesion and resistance to ICE. Join us on Saturday April 12 from 2:00-4:00 PM for training to become a Signs of Solidarity canvasser. Following the training, there will be opportunity to canvass with partners in the nearby community. The Signs of Solidarity Program is sponsored by Indivisible Denver and the Denver Immigrant Partnership Team. Canvassing is a demonstration of our solidarity with all of our Denver community and has been received warmly by the businesses visited. Since our founding in 2016, Indivisible has been rooted in the belief that organized people can beat organized hate—and that our power comes not just from our numbers, but from how we show up. We reject all forms of political violence and intimidation, no matter the source or the target.

De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition Call · Mobilize

## Join us to strengthen our De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition's collective power! During this national mobilization call we will share information about the coalition including how your group can join or get involved. We’ll review our accomplishments, share resources and provide updates on upcoming actions. We also want to hear from you, so we’ll make time for some live engagement with the De-ICE Steering Committee and National Leaders! ***Please note*** that this call will be particularly relevant for group leaders/members who are already involved in the De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition and leaders/members of groups who are interested in getting involved. Registrants will receive a Zoom link by email prior to the event. Citizens Bank is financing ICE detention companies. Citizens Bank talks a lot about valuing diversity and building strong communities. What they don't talk about: they're helping for-profit prison companies get the cash they need to lock more people away in ICE detention. You've heard the stories that come out of the facilities run by CoreCivic and The GEO Group. 911 dispatchers flooded with calls. Severe medical neglect. Children locked up for months on end. But even as the heartbreaking stories pour out of ICE detention centers, Citizens Bank keeps pouring money into them. Citizens Bank has dodged accountability for their important role in supporting inhumane ICE detention. Until now. Find out how we are working to get them to STOP at www.de-icecitizensbank.org _A core principle behind all De-ICE Citizens Bank events is a commitment to nonviolent action. By registering for this event, you agree that the De-ICE Citizens Bank coalition may contact you about future De-ICE actions and ways to support the coalition’s work._

What the Flock Forum · Mobilize

Join Troy Indivisible as we host our neighbors, Indivisible Albany and the local De-Flock Troy group, for a forum on the state of surveillance in our area, and how Flock cameras have spread here. Over the past several decades, the United States has experienced a steady and often quiet expansion of surveillance that has reshaped the relationship between the government and the public. What began as targeted intelligence gathering has evolved into a vast ecosystem of data collection, enabled by digital technologies, private-sector partnerships and national security policies that that prioritize preemption over transparency. A striking example of this shift is the rapid adoption of automated license plate reader systems produced by Flock Safety, now deployed by thousands of police departments, public and private entities across the country. The Capital District has seen a rise in the use of Flock cameras, including within the City of Troy, often without meaningful public consent or oversight. We will discuss how Flock camera systems work, where they are, how the data is retained and, more importantly, how this data is being funneled to federal agencies such as ICE to target and track immigrant communities. We will also discuss actions that you can take to fight back against the installation of Flock cameras and demand accountability for those already in use. Please join us on April 14 at 7 pm at 35 State St., Troy for the presentation and discussion. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
