People r often guided by te severity of consequences attached to their actions. A #jail term can serve as a powerful #deterrent"

I was astonished to read that when Straits Times reporter Osmond Chia fed the question “Who is Osmond Chia?” into Meta AI’s chatbot, it spat out a list of criminal charges under his name – instances of the chatbot confusing his name with the crime headlines he has reported (Ever looked yourself up on a chatbot? "MOH is studying portable private #insurance.. As past president of #Singapore Medical Assoc & a GP for ~40 years, I hope people will understand better why portability is essential as we grow older.. In their letters, Mr David Kong and Dr Leong Horn Kee said it was unfair that when a patient, in the course of a treatment, decides to upgrade to a higher or non-subsidised ward, he will be retroactively charged more for previous treatments (Unfair to charge retroactive payments for patients who transfer to higher class wards, April 18; and Illogical to charge highest room rate for earlier stay when patients transfer to higher ward, April 22). Forum: Unfair to charge retroactive payments for patients who transfer to higher class wards

Last week, my mother, who is 98 years old and frail, was admitted to the high-dependency ward in Singapore General Hospital (SGH) as a Class C patient. Unfortunately, her experience there was far from conducive to her recovery. The ward, accommodating five patients, was consistently noisy, with frequent disturbances from phone usage, visitor traffic, and monitor alarms. As a result, my mother found it difficult to rest and became increasingly stressed. Read more at straitstimes.com.
