Alan Rusbridger, former editor of the Guardian, current editor of Prospect magazine and columnist at the Independent suggested that "everyone" should hold hands and jump off X on 5 November.
Guess what? He didn't. He's still there. And this morning offers his pennyworth on Jeff Bezos. He seems to have taken the Bezos option too - surrender.

Should we all hold hands and jump? Alan Rusbridger suggests a scenario in which "everyone" agrees to leave X on the same day. The date for this magnificent X-odus is November 5. Not for the fireworks but because it's the US election and we'll know whether the US has gone fascist.
He seems to have no conception that leaving X might actually be a step towards opposing fascism.

@crash_course I agree with you 100%. Under Viner, the Guardian has not so gradually joined the ranks of the #MSM, the mainstream-media. I miss Alan #Rusbridger so much.

shame on you, #Guardian! I can't believe your headline on this story - "Biden and Trump clinch #Pennsylvania primaries shortly after polls close" - the headline *should* be that Nikki Haley took over 20% of the votes from #Trump, even though the #PA #Republican #primary was only open to registered Republicans. And worse, the article goes on to quote, at length, from Trump supporters, bashing #Biden all the way. Terrible journalism.
The Guardian has never been the same since Alan #Rusbridger retired.

@ronanmcd the #Guardian environmental team has been doing a good job covering #Cop28, including a daily live blog (not today, their off-day). I think the Guardian's coverage of the #ClimateCrisis in general has been excellent (their other news coverage has gone downhill over the years since Alan #Rusbridger retired).
