Why would I ever go out of my way to support union shops or prefer union products when I'm doing electoral organizing? Convince me that paying extra and waiting longer for that union bug isn't just shooting myself and the campaign(s) I'm volunteering for in the foot?

For my entire life, my 73-year-old #parents have always been #republican by default. Growing up in #Texas and serving in the #airforce made that vote pretty much a formality. My dad worked 2 jobs and my mom ran a nursery with 20 kids so they pretty much never had time to actually follow #news or #politics. They often didn't even know who the candiates were.

Next month they will be voting in the #Texas #Democratic #Primary, the first time they've voted in a primary ever in their life. #FuckTrump

Feb 2nd is the deadline for submitting your FPCA (Federal Post Card Application) for being able to vote in the March 3rd primary election.

And yes, you have to do this EVERY YEAR. Just because you applied last year doesn't mean you're covered for this year.
