Rockhounding was one of the big draws for me. On this short trip, we collected:
- Thundereggs
- Petrified wood
- Black bog petrified wood
- Teal picture jasper
- Leaf fossils
- Agate nodules
My kid even discovered a small cave filled with sparkly citrene geodes!
@famousblueben Ben @famousblueben , and Greg @GPJohnston,
I got lots of results searching Mastodon for Rockhounding, Geology, Lapidary, RockTumbling, Gemology, Crystallography, etc.
No rock clubs meeting online, yet, though.
Different search results with and without intercaps, e.g., rockhounding, and RockHounding. (Why?
:shrug:)
And because I can't help but being a rockhound... I climbed up to ridgeline to collect a bit of petrified wood.
