I got lots of results searching Mastodon for Rockhounding, Geology, Lapidary, RockTumbling, Gemology, Crystallography, etc.

No rock clubs meeting online, yet, though.

Different search results with and without intercaps, e.g., rockhounding, and RockHounding. (Why?  :shrug:)

Took oldest granddaughter to a lapidary class, she works at Pike Place Market and is around artisans so is interested in making jewelry. Here are two cabochons we made, mine on the left from an agate cobble I collected on a local river, hers of Brazilian agate. She loved it! #Rockhounding #AltText

I got to enjoy a #RockHounding day with my lovely & brilliant partner (@333mcggg on X) recently, at the tiny community of #GemHill. We were out there looking mostly for #CommonOpal, but saw plenty of nice #jasper & #agate, as well. I know it isn't a history post, but you'll live!

My husband often asks: what do you plan to do with all these rocks you pick and tumble? This! Decided to make the time to build up lists so I can maximize my Mastodon use. So you will see me promoting some lists as I build them. If you know of anyone that would be great to add, please let me know.

List 1: Rockhounding! This is my newest and most passionate hobby. Living on Lake Superior gives a lot of fun rocks to explore and tumble. So anyone who is into #rocks #rockhounding #lapidary or #rocktumbling (or if you know of anyone who is) just let me know so I can follow.
