Stoked about these three records that just arrived! Mike Park (of Asian Man records) has been auctioning off some of his personal collection via whatnot. I joined last week hoping for the signed Sing Along with Skankin… but couldn’t help but pick up some Mustard Plug and Hey Smith.
Making some bao for dinner. This batch is curry, and already steamed some red bean for desert.
First time. The dough was easy enough to whip up, but my folding technique needs work.
JDS2/ Quick day hike. Figured I could get one last easy permit while the snow is still around and get up and down with sunlight now the days are longer. Mostly empty, a few parties of bros and some solos. Everyone was midway up the chute when I got to the base and they still seemed midway when I got to the top 😅 Had the summit to myself, no wind as forecast, dead silent.
And I got the chance to try out my new climbing boots. They work flawlessly on the snow/ice and the auto crampons are slick.
That said, too heavy on the feet for the approach trail, so I had to figure out how to strap them to my little climbing pack.
Soft snow made the Loowit (Saint Helens) accent a bit slow, but the view from the top is always spectacular.
At least the snow was perfect for glissading back down.
