Legacy games have probably had their golden days. They were something new that hadn't been done before in our hobby. They promised a unique experience of a game that would change as you played it. Not only that, the change would be permanent, requiring you not to only remove components, but actually destroy them, or put stickers into the rulebook, onto the main game board or otherwise apply them to make an irreversible change to the game. However, as exciting as the idea was, it never sat comfortably with me. In this article, I want to talk about this in more detail.

When I first heard of RetroAchievements (no fedi presence booo) about a year ago, I immediately dismissed it as a silly gimmick.

BUT THENโ€ฆit came to GameCube.

And goddammit, that's gotten me to actually install Dolphin for the first time in years!

Seriously though, modding Mass Effect is fairly straightforward (and AFAIK the legendary edition has the most important mods now as well). Might be worth installing mods to let you romance several folks at the same time, maybe even one for same-sex romances (though some of them have no recorded voice lines).

Watching someone's Twitch stream of #NoMansSky helped me get a better idea of how the game works, so I'll give it another try later today.

Also #CultOfTheLamb is AMAZING. I figured I'd like it, but not this much. I'm having so much fun, and can see there's tons of #replayability.
