@ian Delivery companies are a joke these days. I tried to get an antenna delivered from #Radioddity for 2 months, 3 attempts and nothing. Company in question #DPD
Nearly 2 months ago I placed a bundled order with #Radioddity to which I am still awaiting the delivery of an antenna. To be fair to #Radioddity the last item has recently been sent to an alternative address. Fingers crossed on that but confidence is very low. Of the 3 items posted, I had to collect the first from the next village, the second, surprisingly came to the door. The third, was undelivered due to being out (I wasn't).
The problem has been with #dpd crap as usual

New #X6100 on its way, to replace the one that was lost in transit.
USPS was prompt in saying "we never got the package".
ACI Logistix has a "help me" form but did not provide a prompt reply to my query.
#radioddity dispatched a new shipment once I got confirmation from USPS that they didn't have the package, with the understanding that if the first order does eventually get delivered I'll send it back.
Ham radio is a hobby with lots of side quests, did not expect logistics to be one.
IakI didn't get back quickly enough and didn't make it to the attic for the big antenna. But the picture is better than I expected for a cheap handheld radio with rubber antenna :-) #ARISS_SSTV #sstv #iss #robot36 #Radioddity

So far early reports have uncovered lots of small issues, many of which sound to my ear like they could be fixed in firmware, but collectively sounding pretty awkward.

Update February 5th, 2024 : Xiegu is planning a first trial production run for March 2024. If all goes well, real production will start shortly thereafter. If major corrections are required, the real production run will be delayed accordingly. Radioddity is planning to sell the X6200 starting with the real production batch.
