Forschende haben untersucht, wie #SarsCoV2 #Schwerhörigkeit auslösen kann.

In Mausmodellen infizierte das Virus bestimmte Nervenzellen im #Innenohr, sogenannte Spiralganglionneuronen. Das Spike-Protein setzt die Zellen unter Stress und löst ihr Absterben aus.

Die Erkenntnisse könnten neue Therapieansätze ermöglichen, da gängige Kortison-Behandlungen oft wenig wirken. Auch bei #LongCovid werden anhaltende Hörprobleme beobachtet.

Nicht nur die Teile meines Lebens die mir eh von meiner chronischen Krankheit verwehrt werden sind ätzend. Es ist auch das ich mich bewusst einschränken muss wenn ich das nicht will, aber es einfach notwendig ist.

„Waren Sie am Sonntag (gemeint war der 10.05.) auch für ihre Krankheit demonstrieren?“
