This #PolyTerra PLA is phenomenally soft, holy shit… I wonder what they did to it to achieve this.
Definitely not what I want to buy in the future though, I really always need rigid material. Doesn't make much financial sense anyway, it's right inbetween "cheap" and "little bit more pricey but well recycled". And using rPLA just feels way better.~

Here’s my build of the Bambu Lab Marble Run 003 kit. It’s printed in Polymaker PolyTerra PLA filament. It looks great, but it seems to be a bit too rough and the motor isn’t able to run the machine.

Marble Run 003 by Bambu Lab

Let's start a marble race with friends! This marble run features a series of elements including elevator, starting line, randomized dividers, elevated track, large funnel, spiral, and loop section. It allows competition of multiple marbles, with each segment introducing an element of unpredictability. The excitement continues all the way to the end! Recommended filaments: Bambu PLA series, PLA Basic is recomended for more smooth trackhttps://store.bambulab.com/collections/bambu-lab-3d-printer-filamentHardware Kit: Marble Run Components Kit-003http://store.bambulab.com/products/marble-run-components-kit-003 Please make sure you clean the build plate before printing and/or applying glue to prevent print failures. Follow the video tutorial step by step to print and assemble your build.

The PolyTerra limestone marble is a pain to work with. It's coarse. The filament on the spool feels grainy like whole wheat spaghetti. Adding fuzzy skin to the model was almost redundant.

The slate grey marble is much better. Smoother and better behaved. I made a bowl (not pictured) a couple of days ago in slate grey and it came out nice and smooth. I did have some issues with overhang, but that was the model, not the filament.

I'm working on the mechanical parts of the Birthday Tower now. The tower will be a 2 meter tall (6 ft. 8 in.) wooden beam with LEDs in front and speakers at top and bottom. This is the top cap attached to a cutoff end of the beam.

I had fun with textures here. Generic silk copper PLA at 0.05mm layer height and PolyMaker PolyTerra limestone marble PLA with fuzzy skin and 0.2mm layers. The back cover is PolyTerra slate grey marble.

So.

I'm now the proud owner of 2x2,5kg #PolyTerra (Cotton White) PLA for 30€ (6€ per Kilo). Had to re-spool it onto reasonable 1kg spools and for 6€, it's more than worth it!

#3dprinting

Somehow managed to loose two rolls of filament during my house move! Have ordered a couple of rolls of #polymaker #polyterra to get me #3dprinting again.

Lots of little temporary things for the house will be coming this week while we decide on longer term additions to our home!

Sunday is #3Dprintday 🤓
This Sunday I finished my multi day Lego skeleton print. It turned out awesome on my #sovolS06

Printed it in .2 layer height in #Polyterra PLA

Tada! Nice #3dprinted spool holder that fits perfectly into the weird shelving system that I inherited from my landlord. Can even hold a couple of reels! #polyterra #3dprinting #3dprint
