Just me, but is there a pattern showing up of Federal courts ignoring #Delgamuukw?
Particularly the many cases surrounding Coastal GasLink #pipeline by the Wet'suwet'en people, the #RCMP's paramilitary invasion/occupation forces. A few years earlier Stanley was aquitted for shooting and killed Boushie on 'his' land (in Treaty 6 territory.)
IANAL, but many of the cases seem to ignore the logical conclusions of the case.
@Amgine@mamot.fr Yes, the unanswered question, this hesitation by banks? It’s the longest running land claim case. Banks hesitation now & not when case began? Did this hesitation begin before or after the appeal? Reconciling the issue would be far quicker and perhaps far less uncertain than appealing a decision to the supreme court that’s likely to fail given the SCC’s decisions surrounding this. The cynic in me sees this as a well planned and carefully curated effort to anger inflame and outrage.
