A computer which can be placed on a Desk was named a Desktop; similarly, a Laptop got its name.
The early hand-held computer was called a 'Palmtop'.
Why didn't this term 'Palmtop' make it to the mainstream, & why did 'Phone' or 'Smartphone' replace it?
A similar case is with the term for a bigger phone, i.e., 'Phablet' (Phone + Tablet).

@wojtek I used xiaomi and samsung before, I think samsung was more annoying. now I am using pixel for a very long time, I tried iphone last year, but it did not allow me to install ublock origin so I returned. Tried sony xperia something for smaller size it had awkward size so returned, I was doing a small research and found https://www.gsmarena.com/sharp_aquos_sense10_5g-14289.php this looks like the smaller and nicest android in the market now, but I may go for pixel 10a :)
my main problem is size with the latest phones, they are growing and growing, all become #phablet now.
