Two different hikes this weekend brought us closer to water: around Poggio Mirteto, a bird watchers paradise, we explored the unspoiled version of the Tiber (the best: you can get there by train!) – and on Sunday we visited Percile to enjoy the Karst Lake, which almost had a Norwegian feel to it – both hikes are less than an hour outside of Rome. Lazio is a hiker's paradise and only few people know it 😎
