Tomorrow's #homelab fun if I can swing it. Which of these pins or pads is the UART on the #pensando dsc25?
Testing the pins will be easier. Clearly the pins at the top are the fan header. I assume I can get ground from elsewhere on the card and track down TX when the computer and card comes up.
But I have no idea how to test the pads.

I made some progress with the #pensando card. In Windows, where I could see all three network interfaces, I misunderstood something. The Windows-accessible interface should NOT be set to the IP address of the management interface. E.g. if your DSC card is at busid 22, then the management interface is at 169.254.22.1, but you have to manually assign the Windows side at something else, 169.254.22.2 is fine.
Now, I can at least use penctl to query the card and access the API through a web browser.
Today's #homelab efforts were spent trying to get the management port working on a newly-acquired #pensando dsc25 network card. The card has the E-series firmware, the port lights up and acts like it works, but doesn't show up as a network interface in Ubuntu.
It did show up under Windows, and the HP firmware utilities could see it, but I couldn't set the port speed or auto-negotiation. Pushing updated firmware didn't work either. So is it the card, the host computer (not HP) or something else?
