CoverThursday en schrikkeldag, daar moet toch wat mee te doen zijn toch? En wat blijkt? Khaled is geboren op 29 februari. Recent kwam zijn hit Aïcha langs op RadioParadise. Mijn jongere collega dacht dat het de Deense hiphopformatie Outlandish was, maar ik riep “nee, dit is Cheb Khaled, afkomstig uit Oran, de hoerenstad van Algerije”. En inderdaad, deze versie was in het Frans. De cover is van 7 jaar later, een typisch gevalletje generatiekloof tussen mij en mijn collega.
