Digital photomontage, as usual, with one of my Lovecraftian bas-reliefs.

A memory to share for funsies.
Years ago, I was in a car crash. It was quite brutal.
Myself, Bobert, Tag and Moist were in the car.
Someone pulled out from a side street behind a parked van, suddenly appearing right in front of us.
Moist, driving, tried to stop but had no chance and we hit, hard.
I have three memories from the event which have stayed with me for my entire life.
1. Later, being thankful that my side of the car was so crushed that I couldn't get out. Seconds after the impact, I asked everyone if they were okay. They were. Tag was hurt, but not badly, but seeing her face covered in blood sent me into a murderous rage. If I could have got out of that car, I would probably have been arrested for assault shortly afterwards. Karma, maybe.
2. Seeing the whole thing in slow motion. Especially, milliseconds after we hit the other car, seeing a polystyrene tray of chips and mushy peas slowly flying through the air from the back seat, rotating eerily. A wooden fork with a single chip attached spiralling on its own trajectory. The tray missed my ear by inches and hit the windscreen with a disgusting spalt, then slowly dripped down like an alien had just met its gruesome end on the glass.
The wooden fork was never found.
3. The oddest memory. The one that plagues my dreams. The one that sometimes makes me believe that something, somewhere was just playing with me.
The song playing at the time was 'High Speed Dirt' by Megadeth.
At the end of that song is the audio of the song's protagonist impacting the ground with speed.
The impact of the two vehicles coincided absolutely perfectly with that part of the song.
I think about that often. There have been a lot of weird things that have happened in my life.
That thing with the Pope, the lime jelly and the dead horse for one.
But the memory of that song, the crash, the chips and the rage suppressed by simple serendipity is one of the weirdest.

If you’re into the paranormal, road ghosts, and disturbing true stories, this one’s for you.
If you’re driving at night, stay clear of the A616 Stocksbridge Bypass…

this was scanned with a price sticker or something on it, I like it, it throws off the symmetry a little bit 😁
The more I look at this the more I like it. Weird alien alienation, maybe some kind of a looming strangeness
