I’m calling it now, the adoption of AI agents into software development will be one of the most costly mistakes in the field’s history. Agents cannot program, and it’s taking longer and longer to realize that they can’t. They are a highly sophisticated statistical model designed to mimic the distribution of programming. The output is broken, but in a way that’s getting harder and harder to detect. Which is exactly what you’d expect from an increasingly accurate statistical model.
"Teams using AI heavily complete 21% more tasks but experience 154% larger pull requests and 9% higher bug rates. This feels like a paradox until you realize what's happening: people are optimizing for throughput instead of outcomes. More agents running doesn't mean more work shipping. Занимаюсь проектом, на модуле ESP32 не хватило выводов! Не особо хотелось применять расширители портов на PCF8574 и ей подобные, в связи с чем пришлось городить костыль.. DevKit v1 на базе ESP-WROOM-32, на своих выводах (pins) имеет GPIO сконфигурированные только под цифровой вход, т.е. Input! Но ни как Input/Output. Это порты: GPIO34, GPIO35, GPIO36 и GPIO39.
