I highly recommend watching Roll of Law’s latest video explaining the new #ORCLicense. Basically you give all of your work away if you use it. Watch all of the video, but he makes that point at 24:48. It also sounds like there is no way you should use this without engaging a lawyer. Last thing about the ORC License. It appears that Using the ORC License <> Free. Chaosium's Basic Roleplaying Engine is a $25 PDF.

I am not $25 curious to see if any kind of magic system is covered by the ORC License. No slight against them, I just don't have the cash right now.

I wonder if this means no SRD sites?

The ORC License is out. The rationale on page 3 of AxE has a section on "Why not a Creative Commons License" that makes sense.

Essentially, you can't take the game mechanics and create your own lore without giving away the lore.

I don't agree with that explanation per a discussion with @LeviKornelsen and others yesterday, but there it is.

The final text of the ORC license from Paizo has been published to the Library of Congress, and published on the Website of Azora Law who drafted it.

"The license is, system-agnostic, perpetual, and irrevocable open gaming license that provides a legal “safe harbor” for sharing rules mechanics so as to encourage collaboration and innovation in the tabletop-gaming space"
