A fun day out for first ever visit to UK Games Expo - mind warpingly massive. It was the rest of family’s first ever convention - they survived and even said they’d go back next year! Result! Cool games and cool creators to talk to. #ukge #ukge2026 #ukgamesexpo #rpg #rpgs @pelgranepress @patchworkfez

Another #TerraNovaThursdays belated 30th anniversary: #HeavyGear #OperationJungleDrums was part of the Gamemaster Starter Kit published in October of 1995.

The adventure included a cast of antagonist NPCs and pre-generated PCs, some of whom (like fan favourite Miranda Petite, seen on the front cover) would reappear in later Heavy Gear books.

Hey Fedi, I'm curious, where does the distinction between arcane n divine magic (i.e. mages and clerics) originate from? Was't DnD, or sth that predates it?

A lotta fantasy staples can be traced back'a Tolkien's works, but the wizards there all had religious significance (they were Maiar, effectively low-ranking angels), so I don't think the arcane/divine dichotomy was already present there (the magic was often less concrete n more mystical anyway). But a lotta modern fantasy works, notably DnD, various RPGs n RPG-inspired anime etc. have such a distinction. So, what was the first thing that introduced't?
