Si parla del Jannik Sinner dominatore a Indian Wells, capace di battere Medvedev in finale e confermarsi implacabile sul cemento. Si parla meno, invece, del primo ostacolo che lo attende a Miami: Damir Dzumhur, avversario sulla carta abbordabile ma comunque da non sottovalutare per iniziare senza scosse il cammino in Florida.
Dopo il bye al primo turno, il numero due del mondo debutta nel Masters 1000 americano contro il bosniaco, numero 76 del ranking, che si è guadagnato la sfida superando al primo turno Ignacio Buse al termine di una lunga battaglia in tre set. Tra i due non ci sono precedenti: un confronto inedito che segna l’inizio del percorso di Sinner nella parte bassa del tabellone.
Per l’altoatesino è il primo passo di un torneo che conosce bene. After receiving a bye in the first round, the world number two debuts in the American Masters 1000 against the Bosnian, ranked 76, who earned the match by defeating Ignacio Buse in the first round after a long battle over three sets.
