Slobodians These, die ich zuerst als nur ironisch missverstanden habe, ist: Wenn man ein Vorbild dafür sucht, wie Trump die USA umgestalten will, ist Saudi-Arabien wichtiger als die Faschismen der 20er und 30er Jahre. Auga spricht ueber ['lausbub'] boris johnsons brexit, zitat:

"[populismus...] das, was da versprochen wurde, natuerlich nicht eingeloest werden konnte, was ich fuer hoch gefaehrlich halte, weil es natuerlich die demokratien ansich in frage stellt -- und ansich in frage stellt, dass der staat oder die demokratisch gewaehlte regierung ueberhaupt eine legitimation haben, ueberhaupt noch dinge zu steuern."

[leider kommt 'ueberhaupt' und 'natuerlich' zweimal vor. was koennte man um wiederholungen zu vermeiden stattdessen fuer ein wort verwenden? das mystische 'egentlich'?]

dazu passt die Äußerung von Franz Josef Strauß (FJS), dass "Demokratie eine Ideologie ist, die es zu überwinden gilt" -- eine kontroverse und bedeutende Aussage, die in verschiedenen Kontexten zitiert wird. Sie spiegelt seine Einschätzung wider, dass die Demokratie nicht die endgültige Lösung für gesellschaftliche Probleme sei, sondern dass es Bedürfnisse nach einer stärkeren und stabileren Führung gäbe.

wegen dieser Aussage von FJS hatte ich in den 1980er jahren nicht cdu/csu gewaehlt. aber FJS hatte recht. (Ortega Y Gasset hatte das jahrzehnte vorher in Aufstand der Massen" klargestellt.) ein bekannteres dsbzgl. zitat von FJS ist "vox populi, vox rindvieh!"
