Having our garden landscaped in winter was always going to be a bit muddy; especially with the endless rain we've had since early January.
It was raining again when they started this morning. We offered the landscapers (and the PV guys on the roof) tea, cake and shelter in the garage mid-morning. But by lunchtime it was *torrential*. And they all went home. Don't blame them!
The cats bring mud in on their little furry paws :-(

Next week sees the annual Devon County Show at Westpoint, near Exeter (Thu 18th May - Sat 20th May).
Roads will be even more chock-a-block than normal, and the usual mudbath will likely ensue onsite.
Remember the images of mud on the roads at Newton Poppleford just this past week after severe storms.
The final day had to be cancelled a few years ago due to mud in the car parking area.

Indeed we cannot overstate enough the importance of green spaces, including private #greenSpace and large #trees on #publicHealth generally, including #mentalHealth.
Taking walks amongst #largeTrees and spending time at naturally occuring #mudBath retreats can (and was) prescribed by #doctors in the past century.
We know someone who's life benefitted greatly from at least one trip to such a #retreat.
