1/5 Mishap in the Mountains.

What was one of your mishaps this past (or previous) year? Here is one of mine:

Timberrrr!!! (that goes for both the tree and me!) Earlier this year, while snowshoeing alone down a mountain, I had to squeeze by a full-sized tree (about 12" (30cm) diameter) on a narrow section of trail that traversed a moderately steep slope. (CONT)

Mt Rainier and its lenticular cloud with sparkling Eunice Lake in the foreground. This was taken from near the Tolmie Peak Lookout which was a popular day hike, but now mostly out of reach except on much longer treks due to the closure of the bridge needed to access the trailhead.
Inspired by a #MountainMonday post from @intrepidhero, here's yours truly atop the rim of Looit, or Mount St. Helens, in July of 2006. Climbed it as a trainer for Tahoma (Mount Rainier), which I climbed a couple weeks later. Anyhow, Brian I encourage you to get up there. And take our buddy @andrewbriscoe! It is a fabulous experience, that was my third climb up there. #Hiking #GetOutside

For #MountainMonday - an older photo of some great sunset light on Snagtooth Ridge, with Kangaroo Ridge in the foreground shadows. Photographed at Washington Pass in the North Cascades of Washington State.

Just came across a rad hashtag, I'm jumping on #MountainMonday because I have a lot of photos I haven't shared

I've always been absolutely thrilled with this image I took of Crown #Mountain in #Banff #Canada

Specifically how the mid day light illuminated the closer peak and the clouds drifting between and around it to accentuate it's shape. The blue cast is from the haze in the air.

I might get a chance to revisit later this year which I'm excited about.
